Freeman Building Systems On Track for Grand Slam
Freeman Building Systems has been selected as the general contractor for the upcoming construction of the Aspen Racquet Club in Wooster, OH. The recreational facility is projected to be completed by the start of the 2017 winter tennis season and Freeman Systems will be responsible for providing all of the material, labor, equipment for the project while coordinating most of the construction efforts.
The facility will feature six tennis courts, an observation mezzanine, workout rooms, locker rooms, and a pro shop, making it a major construction endeavor which we’re excited to get started on.
The project will be funded by the Seaman Corporation, “We have decided to make the investment in six courts rather than
four or five. This will allow the club to host USTA tournaments and maintain court availability for members.” said Richard Seaman, the Seaman Corporation President.
The Aspen Racquet Club is being designed to meet the needs of the Wooster area which boasts an avid tennis community and will be capable of hosting United States Tennis Association (USTA) tournaments. The USTA hosts tournaments across the country every weekend for club players and professionals alike and because it’s an indoor facility, tennis will be able to be practiced and enjoyed year-long. The Seaman Corporation has prepped by visiting various Ohio indoor tennis facilities to help design the club and provide Freeman Systems detailed construction plans, including plans for an energy efficient lighting system throughout the space.
Freeman Systems has always been a part of the surrounding community and is dedicated to bringing this incredible tennis facility to life for the Wooster area. Some of our notable buildings and projects in the community include:
